Frequently Asked Questions -

What is the experience of hypnosis like?

Hypnosis induces a deep state of relaxation, similar to the moments before sleep or when daydreaming. You may feel a sense of wanting to sleep due to the profound relaxation, but you remain consciously aware at a deeper level. During hypnosis, you can hear and sense everything around you, and you have the freedom to get up or open your eyes if desired.

What happens during a session?

A typical session involves an initial discussion to address the problems and understand the areas where help is needed. Information about hypnosis is provided, and any questions you have will be answered. The hypnosis session follows this discussion. Afterward, you will receive a recording to listen to, and I am available for any queries or advice you may need.

Where are the sessions conducted?

All sessions are conducted over Zoom unless otherwise requested.

How long does it take to see results?

The timeframe for results varies depending on the specific issue. Some individuals notice immediate changes, while others observe them gradually over a few weeks. In some cases, individuals may not realise the changes until someone else points them out. For deep-rooted issues, multiple sessions may be required to address stubborn problems.

How many sessions will I need?

The number of sessions depends on the nature of the problem. In some cases, a single session can produce remarkable results. However, it is common to notice triggers or uncover additional areas requiring healing after a few weeks. This is because the unconscious mind reveals where further work is necessary.

Is there anything I need to do after the session?

You will receive a recording after your session, which serves to reinforce neural pathways. Depending on the desired outcome we may explore habit changes, dietary considerations and practical goals to work towards.

Is hypnosis safe?

Yes, hypnosis is safe. All the techniques I employ are completely safe. I will guide you into a deeply relaxed state and together we will address the problem. It is normal to experience heightened emotions as you gain understanding of the origins and reasons behind certain behaviors. Laughter, tears, and body twitches may occur, but rest assured, these are normal and safe responses. My training equips me with the tools to support you through any experiences that arise.

Can everyone be hypnotized?

Yes, anyone can be hypnotised, but only if they choose to be. We operate from our subconscious mind 95% of the time, moving from one suggestion to the next without conscious thought. Examples of this include deciding to make a boiled egg, questioning if someone likes us, or feeling unsure about our abilities. These self-talk examples create negative thoughts that hinder our ability to be our authentic selves. Hypnosis can help in unblocking these false beliefs and facilitating the strategies needed for personal growth.

How will I feel after the session, and will I remember it?

The post-session experience varies from person to person. Some individuals feel energized and excited, while others may feel tired. The release of embedded beliefs and blocked emotions affects individuals differently. You will indeed be able to remember the session afterward.

Will I lose control during hypnosis?

Not at all. You will maintain full control throughout the session, and you can choose to stop at any point. You will never be compelled to think, say, or do anything against your will. The depth of hypnosis is determined by your level of trust in the process. You create the experience, and I am here to guide you. I cannot heal you, but I can assist you in healing yourself.

What is the cost of a hypnotherapy session?

The cost of a hypnotherapy session starts from £250, depending on the specific issue being addressed, the duration of the session, and the number of sessions required.
